Senior Financial Accounting Team Leader – IFRS & Regulatory Reporting

Our client is a global financial institution focused on financial operations, compliance, and strategic transformation.

• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, financial controls, and regulatory reporting standards.
• Hands-on knowledge of FTP/Saracen and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to add value and drive process improvements.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Regulated Covered Bonds or securitization accounting.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Python, Xceptor.
• Familiarity with workflow solutions like Appian.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Qlik Sense.

• Lead and manage the end-to-end period end close process, including Saracen reporting and balance sheet reconciliation & substantiation.
• Supervise team performance, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and timely delivery.
• Drive strategic improvements and tactical transformations within the financial reporting process.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation adhering to RCA and SOX requirements.
• Ensure SOPs are continuously updated, tested, and backed up for seamless service continuity.
• Align processes with Group policies and regulatory standards, including IFRS, FINREP, GSIB, and CE reporting.
• Collaborate with senior management and in-country teams, monitoring performance and handling ad-hoc requests.
