Senior WMS Application Engineer - Blue Yonder (M/F/D)

DSV is hiring a Senior WMS Application Engineer to work in Warsaw with a focus on Warehouse Management Solutions.

• Minimum 6+ years professional experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain IT roles
• Mandatory experience with Warehouse management solution (Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS)
• Good knowledge and experience with relational databases, SQL and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of infrastructure landscapes and proficiency in Unix/Linux commands
• Expert in Shell scripting
• Ability to understand, formulate, and challenge functional specifications from business
• Practical application/API design and programming skills in C#, Java, or Python
• Proven ability to integrate WMS with external applications using APIs or Webservices
• Ability to perform thorough system design and testing with minimal supervision
• Experience in supply chain domain and project implementation

Nice to have:

• Ability to set up and maintain pipeline scripts such as Jenkins/groovy
• Experience with cloud-native common platform tools and microservices
• General knowledge of working with different 3rd party software providers
• Knowledge of systems life cycle including functional and technical solution design and architecture

• Design, implement, and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms for WMS platforms
• Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of production WMS applications by proactively identifying and resolving root causes of incidents
• Collaborate with relevant DSV IT and business departments to deliver business requirements using standard warehouse solutions and identify gaps for enhancements
• Conduct IT Solution Reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and reuse of existing components
• Implement and promote automated testing, deployment, and validation practices for WMS solutions
• Drive continuous improvement of standard warehouse solutions for faster rollouts across regional sites
• Contribute to development of regional and global WMS standards
• Maintain and enhance WMS and surrounding applications focusing on standardization, code reusability, and documentation
• Research and propose innovative solutions to improve productivity, system efficiency, and business value
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready WMS capabilities
