Staff Software Engineer in Test - mobile (m/f/n)

The company focuses on technology-driven delivery solutions including lockers and courier services for e-commerce merchants.

Must-have:

• Strong experience automating mobile app tests natively with working-level Swift and/or Kotlin.
• Proven track record designing test strategy and the test pyramid.
• Experience with shift-left testing practices affecting outcomes before coding.
• Skills in leading technical/process changes and collaborating with dev teams.
• Experience introducing mock-based testing and setting standards.
• Demonstrated impact beyond a single team with cross-team initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with AI, including usage and risk assessment.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Fluency in Polish.
• Experience with BrowserStack and GitLab CI/CD.
• Snapshot testing experience (e.g., swift-snapshot-testing, Paparazzi).
• Familiarity with Appium.
• Experience applying AI in testing workflows.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce industry.
• ISTQB Advanced Level - Test Automation Engineer certification.

I. Test strategy & native automation:

• Design and own the test strategy for native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps.
• Set coverage strategies for device and OS fragmentation and control test flakiness at scale using BrowserStack and GitLab CI.
• Maintain strong backend/API/contract layer integration with mobile client layers.
• Own quality gates in app release and store deployment pipelines and coordinate cross-team quality issue resolution.

II. Coaching, culture & technical leadership:

• Pair on testability and promote quality ownership early in the dev workflow.
• Mentor Senior Software Engineers in Test and provide technical guidance domain-wide.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing via tech talks, workshops, documentation, and co-lead the OneTech/QA community.
• Co-shape the domain's technical quality direction alongside SEM and analyze quality trends.
• Define quality metrics and gates, framing quality risk in business terms for leadership.

III. AI Governance in testing:

• Define AI adoption approach for quality engineering tools and workflows.
• Design AI-assisted testing workflows with governance and data security standards.
• Assess and manage risks of AI use in testing, including production-facing activities.
• Mentor engineers on responsible AI use and report AI ROI for quality engineering.
