LAN/WAN Network Engineer

ITCARD S.A. is a company operating in the payments industry. The role involves working on the network infrastructure that supports critical business areas with high reliability and security requirements.

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years designing and maintaining LAN/WAN networks.
• Experience in high-security environments (finance, energy, industry, critical infrastructure).
• Experience managing migration and modernization projects and creating documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, network security, troubleshooting using layered model tools.
• Design principles for access and core architecture (L2/L3), segmentation techniques.
• Protocols and technologies: EVPN/VXLAN, VRF, Virtual Chassis, MC-LAG, LACP, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, Policy-based routing; DWDM.
• Network monitoring methods and threat detection techniques.
• Transmission security: IKE/IPSec/MACSEC/X.509/TLS, PKI basics, QoS implementation (traffic classes, shaping, policing).
• Wireless network design and maintenance with controller-based infrastructure.
• Configuration and hardening of devices using Junos, IOS, AAA model authentication protocols, and Linux CentOS/RHEL.
• Basic knowledge of LTE, GPRS in WAN routers.
• Driving license category B.
• Good English proficiency (minimum B1/B2).
• Availability for night work during planned maintenance windows or emergency interventions.

Nice to have:

• Skills related to configuration, maintenance, and integration of LAN with Firewall/IPS-IDS/WAF/LB/AntiDoS/OpenShift/Cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and DORA standards, scripting languages Perl or Python.
• Passion for cybersecurity topics.

• Maintain colocation networks, office networks, remote device concentration points, and WAN links; analyze incidents regarding LAN-WAN continuity and security; plan capacity and modernization.
• Review and implement connectivity solutions including cloud integration; update technical documentation.
• Develop and enhance tools that improve system operations, security, and compliance with standards.
• Support audit processes applicable to ITCARD.
