Capacity Management Lead, Forward Deployed Engineering, Google Cloud

The role is within Google Cloud's Go-To-Market team focusing on AI technology deployment and staffing. Google is a leading company known for AI innovation including the Gemini models and Vertex AI platform, working collaboratively with DeepMind engineering and research.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience staffing project teams, management consulting, or corporate strategy.
• Experience with capacity planning models.
• Experience in staffing and forecasting in fractional staffing models.
• Experience building dashboards in BI tools.

• Partner with strategy, operations, and AI Tech Go-to-Market leadership to create best practices for staffing and utilization management.
• Lead weekly staffing meetings with engineering leadership teams and ensure accurate supply and demand forecasts.
• Match forward deployed engineers with projects based on skill set, availability, timezone, and constraints.
• Manage assigned engineers' utilization, bandwidth, and well-being with team leadership.
• Develop new metrics for tracking staffing efficiency.
