Senior Valuation Analyst – Financial Instruments and Controls

The role is for a client in the financial services industry, part of the Product Control Krakow team, supporting the MSS Centralisation project within the Global Markets Business sector.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial valuation or controls.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and valuation techniques.
• Knowledge of market risk factors.
• Advanced Excel skills (mandatory).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Fair Value Framework.
• Knowledge of VBA, Access, and SQL.
• CFA or FRM qualification or currently pursuing.

• Oversee preparation of IPV (Independent Price Verification), FVA (Fair Value Adjustment), PVA (Prudent Valuation), and FVL (Fair Value Levelling).
• Improve controls and implement advanced valuation methodologies.
• Analyze valuation model restrictions and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate Management Information preparation for committees.
• Collaborate with Business Financial Control and Core Product Control to provide a comprehensive P&L and Balance Sheet view.
• Build relationships with Product Control, Quantitative Analytics, Front Office, Market Risk Management, IT, and Operations.
• Lead reengineering and streamlining of processes to optimize performance and service quality.
