Consultant - Data Centre Infrastructure and Virtualization

Our client is a well-established financial services organisation operating across Central Europe. They manage critical infrastructure supporting complex trading, treasury and risk operations. The organisation prioritises operational excellence, compliance and technological innovation to deliver secure, reliable services to their clients.

• 6 to 8 years' experience in data centre infrastructure, virtualization or systems administration
• Deep technical knowledge of networking, computer hardware and critical infrastructure
• Hands-on experience administering VMware environments including installation, patching and upgrades
• Proficiency managing virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, and Linux
• Experience coordinating hardware maintenance and vendor relationships
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability configuration and management
• Understanding of compliance, governance and operational risk standards
• Experience designing automation workflows and API integrations
• Proficiency with English; German, Polish or French language skills are advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments

• Lead data centre operations across networking, virtualization and server infrastructure as a subject matter expert
• Design and implement automation workflows to streamline enterprise operations and reduce manual effort
• Manage disaster recovery and high availability configurations supporting business continuity
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and operations teams to drive operational efficiency
• Administer and troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V, Windows and Linux environments across physical and virtual servers
• Coordinate hardware maintenance activities and liaise with original equipment manufacturers and onsite support teams
• Monitor server health
• Implement governance and compliance workflows ensuring platform adherence to policy and risk standards
• Develop and maintain reporting automation, dashboards and inventory management systems
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures supporting audit readiness
• Manage virtualization platforms and oversee data centre infrastructure operations
