Data and Financial Engineering Analyst

• Strong hands-on development experience in Python and SQL, producing maintainable code
• Practical experience with ETL and ELT processes using relational databases, ideally SQL Server
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts and relational database design
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, and test-driven development practices
• Understanding of SDLC best practices including version control, code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Experience working with financial data
• University degree in engineering, finance, economics, or related discipline
• Strong analytical skills and proactive problem-solving approach
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Build automated solutions in Python and SQL to modernise financial controls and analytics
• Migrate legacy systems into scalable, production-ready data pipelines
• Work with financial data and ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance
• Develop and manage ETL and ELT pipelines ingesting, transforming, validating, and publishing datasets
• Implement data sourcing, lineage, quality checks, and reconciliations
• Partner with Product Control stakeholders to meet requirements and comply with policies
• Collaborate with Technology teams on integration, deployment, scheduling, and release management
• Promote programming and data literacy through documentation, reusable patterns, and peer support
• Support delivery of standardised data to line teams across Product Control
