Software Engineer III, Agentic and Frontend, Mobile, Experience

Google Health's Fitness Coaching team develops intelligent features that guide users toward healthier lifestyles by integrating backend services, mobile frontends, and AI systems. The Health Platforms and Devices team builds products and services combining Google technologies, AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users manage health and wellness data through apps, services, and wearables.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of full stack development experience, including backend with Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and frontend with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalents.
• 2 years experience with Backend, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI Agent development.
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
• 2 years experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in developing accessible technologies.
• Practical experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Gemini API, OpenAI into production pipelines.

• Contribute across Backend, Mobile, and the "Intel" codebase to ship end-to-end features within a self-contained workstream.
• Productionize research-led Intelligence features, ensuring scalability and stability for real-world usage.
• Engage in fast-paced experiments and user explorations.
• Collaborate with Product Manager, UX Designer, and Intelligence Engineer from concept to release.
• Allocate 25% of capacity to bug fixing and quality improvements and 25% to tech debt and infrastructure quality.
