Business Analyst (timezone: CET or NALA)

Pharma Global Technical Operations supporting Enterprise Recipe Management initiative in the pharmaceutical and Life Sciences environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5-10 years of experience as Functional Architect and/or Business Analyst/Consultant in pharmaceutical or Life Sciences environment
• Hands-on understanding of product recipe design and parameter definition in manufacturing systems such as PLM, MES, LIMS, ERP
• Proven experience in system integration projects (DeltaV, SAP S4 HANA, ELN, MES, ERP, LIMS, PLM, or related)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into structured functional and non-functional requirements
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional global environments
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for drug substances and/or drug products
• Ability to de-escalate situations and focus discussions on outcomes
• Availability between 3–7 PM CET for overlap with EU and US teams
• Fluent English, spoken and written

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with ISA-95 / ISA-88 principles and enterprise-level integration concepts
• Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies
• Previous Roche experience or work in similarly complex regulated environments
• Strong grasp of data interoperability, reporting standards, and business process mapping
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, relational data structures, and reporting systems

• Interview business stakeholders, partner system responsibles, and domain leads to identify business opportunities and pre-assess their value, size, and dependencies to support business case creation
• Design and document business process flow and user stories related to Emerson PKM and integrations across MES, LIMS, ERP, and PLM systems, ensuring GxP compliance and data interoperability
• Create functional specifications, architecture decision records, and technical documentation for PKM configurations, integration solutions, and reporting requirements
• Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of business processes, data flows, system capabilities, and architectural design
• Identify relevant Generative AI/ML use cases within the manufacturing context and support their implementation

Must be available between 3–7 PM CET for collaboration between EU and US teams ("golden hours").
