Senior Software Engineer, BigLake Federation

Google Cloud develops next-generation technologies impacting billions of users globally. The team is responsible for data and metadata federation, expanding BigLake across clouds, hyperscalers like AWS and Azure, and partners such as SAP and Salesforce. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions aiding digital transformation for customers worldwide.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in open source technologies and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with partners like SAP, Salesforce, or cloud providers.
• Experience with distributed computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, multi-tenant cloud, or AI.

• Be responsible for all data and metadata federation aspects and expand BigLake to other clouds, hyperscalers, and partners like SAP and Salesforce.
• Create a compelling cross cloud data analytics product, working with senior SWE and PM leads.
• Influence the roadmap, work with customers and partners, and help build a strong culture of operational excellence within the new team.
