Engineering Manager

Silky Coders develops IT, e-commerce, and data science solutions for LPP Group, supporting millions of users daily. The IT E-Commerce area manages sales platforms like websites and mobile apps across 46 markets, focusing on key e-commerce components such as purchasing, payments, promotions, returns, and user experience.

• Minimum 4 years managing development teams of at least 7 people using Agile/Scrum
• Minimum 2 years leading engineering teams with regular feedback, 1:1s, and individual goal work
• Ability to build engagement, ownership, and responsibility for delivered solutions
• Experience in capacity planning, risk management, and project commitment monitoring
• Good knowledge of IT system architecture and software development practices
• Familiarity with design patterns and engineering best practices
• Experience improving software development quality through unit, functional, and regression tests automation, code review standards, and Definition of Done
• Ability to collaborate with product teams, architects, and technical leaders, translating business needs into effective team organization
• Experience with cloud platforms GCP or Azure
• Skills in reducing reactive work, process improvement, and managing technical debt
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Experience with AI-powered tools yielding measurable time savings and quality improvements (e.g., Chat GPT, Cloude)

Nice to have:

• Experience as a developer in Java, PHP, React, or other technologies in modern e-commerce platforms
• Experience working in large-scale e-commerce environments

• Manage engineering teams through regular 1:1s, competency development, onboarding, engagement, and feedback culture
• Plan capacity, monitor commitments, identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and communicate transparently with stakeholders
• Cultivate ownership and accountability from analysis to production deployment
• Support teams in delivering quality software via test development, automation, code review, and work standard improvements
• Improve team workflows, initiate and implement changes to increase organizational effectiveness, and support transformation processes
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, architects, and technical leaders to achieve business goals
• Limit reactive work and manage technical debt consciously
• Use AI tools to enhance quality and efficiency of development and testing processes
• Actively develop personal competences and promote engineering culture in E-Commerce
