Senior QA Automation Engineer – Playwright & AI

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a team working on modern web applications and help further develop and improve automated testing processes. The role involves modern test automation technologies and AI-assisted QA practices.

• Strong commercial experience in QA / Test Automation
• Solid hands-on experience with Playwright
• Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Good understanding of end-to-end testing and modern QA practices
• Experience working with CI/CD and automated testing pipelines
• Ability to analyse complex issues and troubleshoot test failures independently
• Experience working with AI tools in software development or testing
• Practical understanding of how AI can improve test creation, maintenance, debugging or other QA activities
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a technical team
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to continuously improve existing solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with API test automation
• Experience with cloud-based environments
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD tooling
• Knowledge of performance or integration testing
• Experience experimenting with new AI-powered development and testing tools

• Design, develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright
• Build and improve scalable and reliable test automation frameworks
• Identify opportunities to increase test coverage and improve the efficiency of QA processes
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate, analyse and troubleshoot test failures
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers and other technical stakeholders
• Contribute to improving testing strategies, processes and best practices
• Explore and implement AI tools and AI-assisted approaches to improve test automation and QA workflows
• Evaluate new tools and technologies that can make automated testing faster and more effective
