Site Reliability Engineer - Senior

SOFTSWISS is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their Sportsbook team, working on a production-critical, high-load platform designed for launching and managing online sports betting businesses.

• Solid experience with Go, comfortable writing and reading production code
• Strong debugging skills with ability to trace issues across services, logs, and data layers
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including query analysis, indexing, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including kubectl, deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana/ELK, including logs, metrics, and tracing
• Experience with Redis including caching patterns and debugging
• Experience with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ, understanding consumer behavior, lag, retries, and failures
• Understanding of distributed system behaviors under load such as timeouts, retries, and race conditions
• Comfortable working with production systems and handling incidents
• Ability to work independently by taking issues, investigating, and driving to resolution

Nice to have:

• Experience with high-load or real-time systems
• Experience with Sportsbook or betting platforms
• Experience building internal tools or automation for engineering teams

• Investigate and resolve production issues across multiple services and integrations
• Perform deep debugging (logs, traces, metrics, DB queries) to identify root causes
• Tune system performance including PostgreSQL queries and caching
• Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments (deployments, configs, scaling)
• Improve observability using metrics, logging, and tracing tools like Grafana and ELK stack
• Support and maintain integrations between Sportsbook services and external client platforms
• Set up and configure new projects and environments related to Sportsbook
• Write internal tooling and automation using Go
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, diagnosing related issues
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps to resolve incidents and improve system stability
