Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Elasticsearch)

The Daylight PMS distributed system supports hotel operations through domain-oriented microservices developed by cross-functional teams.

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as DevOps, SRE, SysAdmin, or Backend Developer
• At least 1 year of commercial experience with deployment and maintenance of Elasticsearch platforms in production
• Strong practical knowledge of Elasticsearch administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Understanding of distributed systems and basic networking principles
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (experience with GitLab is a plus)

Nice to have:

• Practical knowledge of AWS services
• Knowledge of Terraform and Python
• Elasticsearch certifications

• Administer and maintain Elasticsearch clusters in production environments
• Design, build, and develop Elasticsearch components with developers and architects
• Analyze platform performance and recommend infrastructure improvements related to Elasticsearch
• Advise on application and infrastructure development focusing on Elasticsearch best practices
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for Elasticsearch clusters
• Ensure security, availability, and reliability of Elasticsearch environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to Elasticsearch and supporting tools
• Maintain infrastructure as code and support operational excellence initiatives
• Collaborate with development teams to provide operational support and optimize performance
• Participate in incident management and troubleshooting processes
