DevOps Engineer

Shiji Group provides software solutions and services for the hospitality, food service, retail, and entertainment industries. Founded in 1998, the group employs 5,000 people in 80+ subsidiaries and brands, serving over 91,000 hotels, 200,000 restaurants, and 600,000 retail outlets. Their system, Daylight PMS, is a distributed system composed of domain-oriented microservices developed by cross-functional teams, enabling hotel employees and managers to handle reservations, payments, and services within and across hotels.

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar DevOps position and 5 years in the IT industry
• Good experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm
• Experience with AWS networking and security
• Proficiency in shell scripting (bash and/or PowerShell)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement

Nice to have:

• Experience with HA systems

• Collaborate with Development Teams to provide operational support
• Maintain and monitor application environments across AWS regions
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Actively participate in incident response and ensure quick resolution of operational issues

Candidates must be based in the Silesia region; fully remote work is not an option. Applications from distant locations will not be considered. The office is located in Katowice.
