Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer – Automation and Migration Expert

This role is for a leading financial industry client focused on migrating Markets applications to the Bank's Catalyst Private Cloud data centers, enhancing enterprise cloud infrastructure.

• At least 7 years of experience in cloud DevOps, platform engineering, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in automation, scripting with Python and Bash, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, and Rundeck.
• Proven experience with container platform migration (e.g., OCP to Kubernetes variants).
• In-depth knowledge of networking, proxies, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools like Elastic, Grafana, OTEL, and Kibana.
• Practical experience with middleware technologies including Kafka, NGINX, IBM MQ, and cloud security solutions.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity.
• Ability to operate as a DevOps generalist across infrastructure, security, and cloud environments.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Automation (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes certifications).
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Postgres, or cloud-native databases.

• Accelerate application migration to private cloud using standardized platforms, repeatable patterns, and streamlined processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to develop scalable, resilient solutions, ensuring graceful management of system failures.
• Automate manual tasks related to provisioning, deployment, observability, and support.
• Implement proactive capacity planning with automated predictive analysis for seamless capacity upgrades.
• Drive improvements using SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and real-time monitoring dashboards.
• Promote best practices for continuous delivery aiming for zero operational incidents during releases.
• Design migration-ready solutions for networking, container platforms, middleware, and security, aligned with compliance.
• Enhance observability and telemetry using logs, metrics, and traces for end-to-end traceability.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering tools to optimize troubleshooting, development workflows, and operational analysis.
• Foster collaboration and continuous learning by providing guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.
