Staff Software Engineer - mobile (m/f/n)

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with impact beyond a single team at Staff/Principal/Tech Lead/Architect level.
• Deep ownership of quality and reliability as an engineering discipline, including designing testing and quality strategies.
• Proven shift-left experience engaging before code is written.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills; able to write and review production-quality code.
• Experience leading technical and process changes directly with development teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI, including risk assessment.
• Fluent in English.

Strong plus:

• Commercial experience building or testing native mobile apps (Swift and/or Kotlin) at scale.
• Experience with BrowserStack and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Snapshot testing (e.g. swift-snapshot-testing, Paparazzi) and introducing mock-based testing standards.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce industries.
• Fluency in Polish.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Appium.
• Experience applying AI in engineering/testing workflows.
• ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineer certification.

Quality architecture & engineering:

• Set and own the quality and reliability strategy across the domain from the API/contract layer through to native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) clients.
• Design for testability and release confidence including quality gates inside release and store-deployment pipelines, device and OS-version fragmentation coverage, and flakiness control at scale (BrowserStack + GitLab CI).
• Maintain a strong backend/API/contract layer connected cleanly to the mobile client layer.
• Drive resolution of quality and reliability issues that cross team boundaries within the domain.
• Hands-on involvement in codebase for prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and incident resolution.

Technical leadership, coaching & culture:

• Shift quality ownership left into the engineering workflow before implementation starts.
• Mentor senior engineers across the domain and accelerate their growth.
• Run knowledge-sharing activities such as tech talks, workshops, reusable documentation, and pair sessions; co-lead the OneTech community.
• Co-shape domain technical direction with the SEM and analyze quality trends from metrics.
• Define quality and reliability metrics and gates and communicate risk in business terms to EMs, SEMs, and PMs.

AI governance in engineering:

• Define AI adoption for quality and engineering productivity: tools and workflows.
• Design AI-assisted workflows and set governance and data-security standards.
• Assess and manage risks of AI usage including production-facing work.
• Mentor engineers on responsible AI use and report on its ROI.
