Release Manager

Jit Team has had an over-decade-long relationship with the leading financial group in the Nordic countries. Over 200 Jit personnel are engaged in more than 60 projects for this Norwegian major provider of financial services with a global presence and a strong focus on modern technology. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in IT project management and planning.
• Previous experience in release or deployment management activities, preferably in the banking sector.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes under the ITIL framework.
• Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong coordination and planning skills.
• Accountability, proactivity, and ability to adapt to change.
• Flexibility to work extra paid evenings and weekends for event implementation.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Confident working with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working.
• Ability to communicate with development teams and create and validate deployment runbooks.
• Passion for working with industry-leading Release Orchestration tools to create automated release pipelines.

• Coordinate, plan, and maintain the release roadmap for one or more applications.
• Plan and coordinate multiple parallel releases and deployment activities.
• Plan release go-live and post-go-live activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and track change activities throughout the release process.
• Lead release decision meetings and secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
• Plan and set up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
• Increase release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working to release orchestration.

Remote work requires a hybrid model with 2-3 days per week from the office in Gdynia, Poland. Only candidates willing to work on this hybrid schedule will be considered.
