Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Enterprise Mobile

The Gemini Enterprise Mobile team develops the mobile interface for Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s flagship platform focused on AI applications for enterprise use, supporting iOS and Android devices with generative AI capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in mobile application development on either iOS or Android.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Dart, Flutter, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.

Nice to have:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in complex matrixed organizations on cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• Experience developing Android or iOS mobile applications with integrated artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies.
• Experience developing conversational AI solutions, chatbots, or virtual assistants.
• Experience building backend systems or APIs to support mobile applications or AI integrations.

• Set the long term technical goal and co-create product roadmap for Gemini Enterprise on iOS and Android.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, polished mobile experiences with sharp user empathy and product judgment.
• Build resilient app architectures connecting client state, device hardware (voice, camera), and back-end AI infrastructure.
• Guarantee consumer-grade UI responsiveness while maintaining enterprise standards for security, compliance, and identity.
• Partner across Product, UX, and AI/back-end teams to deliver Google-wide innovations while mentoring executive engineers.
