Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU

The company Andersen is hiring for a project developing a modern digital insurance platform. The customer is a large international organization operating in the insurance and risk protection domain, providing a wide range of services for individual and corporate clients worldwide. The platform supports the whole insurance lifecycle with scalable, secure APIs and digital services for web, mobile, and partner ecosystems.

• 3+ years hands-on .NET development experience (version 6+), with .NET 8 required.
• Strong understanding of Clean Architecture principles with strict layer dependency rules and Result-based error handling.
• Experience working with ITemporalClient, IWorkflow, IActivity, task queue registration, and cross-task-queue dispatch.
• Strong experience with Azure services: Key Vault, Managed Identity, Blob Storage, Application Insights.
• Experience with structured error-handling patterns; familiarity with Result/Maybe patterns preferred.
• Strong experience with Entity Framework Core or equivalent ORM including migrations, value objects, aggregate roots.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing using xUnit, FakeItEasy, and Shouldly including integration testing.
• Experience with containerized local development using Docker or Podman.
• Good understanding of Dockerfiles and multi-stage builds.
• Experience running and troubleshooting local development stacks with Podman Compose, including applications, Temporal, and databases.
• English language level Intermediate+ and above.

Nice to have:

• Experience with FastEndpoints 7.x features.
• Experience with GoRules ZEN engine specifics.
• Experience with Cerbos .NET client.
• Experience with JSONata .NET for data transformation.
• Understanding of Kafka consumer patterns.
• Experience with SOAP/WCF client integration.
• Hands-on with Temporal .NET SDK.

• Designing and building .NET 8 microservices using FastEndpoints and clean architecture (Domain / Application / Infrastructure / API layers).
• Implementing Temporal workflow orchestration with typed workflow and activity interfaces, cross-task-queue dispatch, and signal/query patterns.
• Building rules evaluation integrations with GoRules ZEN engine using Rust FFI in-process.
• Developing platform capabilities including config registry, rules API, workflow gateway, payment, and policy adapters.
• Implementing cross-cutting concerns such as Managed Identity service-to-service authentication, Cerbos authorization integration, and structured logging with Serilog/Anotar.
• Writing and maintaining xUnit tests using FakeItEasy for mocking and Shouldly for assertions; performing integration tests against real dependencies.
• Collaborating with platform and domain teams on API contracts, OpenAPI specs, and shared NuGet libraries.
