Senior Python and Node.js Software Security Engineer – Cloud Platforms

This role is for a Krakow-based Senior Python and Node.js Software Security Engineer working for a leading technology client focused on software security and engineering excellence, deploying open-source, cloud-based solutions.

• Minimum 5 years professional experience in backend development or software security.
• Hands-on expertise in Python (Django) and Node.js (Typescript/NestJS).
• Proven experience with GCP services like Cloud Run, GKE, and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of security principles and Zero Trust models.
• Ability to develop and manage OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows.
• Solid understanding of high-performance databases like PostgreSQL and event-driven architecture with Pub/Sub.

Nice to have:

• Contributions to open source projects or a GitHub portfolio.
• Experience with Go-Lang, Rust, or similar technologies.
• Relevant certifications or additional cloud architecture skills.

• Develop and deliver secure backend services using Python (Django) and Node.js (Typescript/NestJS).
• Architect solutions on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and optimize PostgreSQL query performance.
• Build, maintain, and improve OAuth2/OpenID Connect workflows within GCP environments.
• Lead lifecycle management of services ensuring scalability, observability, and security.
• Promote engineering excellence through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
• Drive automation from inception to implementation to reduce manual toil.
• Keep updated with industry trends including Go-Lang, Rust, and Typescript, guiding the team accordingly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security standards treating security as fundamental.
