Senior QA Automation Engineer – API & E2E Testing

Our client is a leader in software quality assurance, focused on delivering reliable and maintainable platform solutions. The role is Warsaw-based with a hybrid work model.

• 5+ years of experience in automated testing (API and/or E2E).
• Strong knowledge of Java for backend automation.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured or Gatling.
• Proven expertise with E2E automation frameworks, including Playwright.
• Solid understanding of SQL for data validation.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience with performance testing tools like Gatling.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Swagger and API mocking.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end flows using tools like Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and refine test scenarios with a risk-based approach covering backend and full-flow cases.
• Validate API contracts including error scenarios across integrated systems.
• Develop and enhance test frameworks in Java and TypeScript to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Analyze test results for functional, integration, and performance checks and recommend improvements.
• Diagnose defects by investigating logs, requests, and data, and document detailed reproducible reports.
• Maintain and expand test execution pipelines within CI/CD environments, participate in code reviews and collaborative testing efforts.
• Support requirements analysis, planning, and contribute to test strategy to improve quality metrics.
