Java Developer – Microservices and Cloud Infrastructure

A Senior Java Developer role for a client in the financial industry focused on securities settlements and post-trade processing systems. The position is Warsaw-based with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development in financial services or related fields.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with SDLC tools, especially GitLab.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS (strong plus).
• Knowledge of securities settlements and post-trade processing systems (advantageous).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude.
• Certifications or training in cloud computing or financial systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices utilizing Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions on cloud infrastructures using Kubernetes and Argo CD.
• Implement and optimize event-driven systems leveraging Kafka.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines through GitLab.
• Monitor system health and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
• Participate in agile sprint planning, reviews, and problem solving.
• Maintain thorough documentation of systems.
• Stay updated about industry standards and emerging technologies.
