Test Migration Manager

Our client is a global leader in IT solutions engaged in a complex Mainframe to Linux migration project.

• 5+ years of experience managing testing for complex projects, especially system migrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong expertise in testing methodologies, particularly unit and functional testing.
• Proven experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with tools like X-Ray or similar testing management solutions.
• Background in mainframe systems and Linux environments.
• Certifications related to testing or project management.

• Develop and document a comprehensive testing strategy tailored to migrating mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL on Linux.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
• Act as the primary liaison among project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and management.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a specialized testing team.
• Monitor testing progress, analyze defect reports, and implement process improvements.
• Produce detailed test documentation and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
