Senior Third-Party Risk Manager – Financial Industry

This position is for a Senior Third-Party Risk Manager at a leading international financial institution, focused on maintaining a robust risk framework and managing third-party risks globally. The role is Krakow-based with a hybrid work model.

• 5+ years of risk management experience within a globally significant financial institution
• Deep understanding of third-party risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation strategies
• Strong knowledge of regulatory landscapes relevant to financial institutions and third-party risk standards
• Proven ability to lead stakeholder engagement across multi-location teams
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• University degree (advanced degrees such as MSc, MBA, PhD are a plus)

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting global risk reporting and regulatory compliance processes
• Familiarity with HSBC’s business model, products, and strategic risk drivers

• Provide expert technical advice to ensure effective understanding and assessment of third-party risks across the organization
• Support the development and implementation of controls, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and HSBC’s Risk Framework
• Monitor external environments for emerging third-party risks and provide detailed guidance on controls
• Assist in preparing global risk and regulatory reports, including risk assessments and board-level reporting
• Educate risk owners and operational teams on control environment effectiveness and root cause analysis
• Support regulatory, audit, and compliance activities related to third-party risk management
• Promote a strong risk culture through training initiatives and capability development
