System Engineer

Andersen is hiring a System Engineer for a project developing a global payments platform and delivering scalable fintech solutions for modern digital commerce. The customer is a technology company that develops software solutions to help businesses streamline financial and operational processes through workflow automation, system integrations, and data-driven insights. The project focuses on developing and enhancing a global alternative payments platform that supports PSD2-compliant payment flows, external payment providers integration, and complex fintech business logic.

• Over 10 years of experience managing IT infrastructure.
• University degree in technical science or a related field.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud data centers, including physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Experience with cloud environments (preferably Azure) and automation.
• Web server experience (IIS and Apache).
• Experience with antivirus, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Proficiency in ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (PCI, ISO), endpoint protection, security segmentation, and server hardening.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL server, including services, security concepts, failover, backup, and recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in IT infrastructure services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, etc.).
• Deep understanding of OSI model, IP networking, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, NAT, firewall, and connectivity troubleshooting across data centers.
• Understanding of CI/CD models and change management processes.
• English proficiency from Upper-Intermediate and above.

• Oversee and maintain multiple on-premises and cloud data centers for performance and scalability.
• Manage and optimize virtualization platforms for high availability and performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage and maintain MSSQL Servers and NAS storage.
• Implement security best practices and maintain IT infrastructure compliance with PCI and ISO standards; conduct regular system audits.
• Monitor hardware and system software; implement and manage system monitoring and alerting tools.
• Troubleshoot IT incidents and minimize downtime for business-critical applications.
• Ensure data integrity by maintaining backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage access infrastructure, user accounts, and access rights.
• Manage IT infrastructure projects with in-house and outsourced teams; provide project updates to management.
• Collaborate with other departments and global partners to support applications and services.
• Define and implement standards for office infrastructure, employee equipment, and workplace IT solutions.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and document infrastructure solutions for transparency and efficiency.
