Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest tech industry players in Europe, providing consulting, digital services, and software development across nearly 30 countries. The Polish branch operates as a Global Delivery Center in Katowice with around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department specializes in cloud, virtualization, databases, networking, and security, while the Application Services department focuses on software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM, and ERP platform integrations for clients in multiple European regions.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with SQL and complex query writing
• Basic knowledge of AWS data services like S3, Glue, and Athena
• Good communication skills and teamwork
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level
• EU citizenship
• Willingness to travel occasionally and commute to Katowice or Gdańsk offices

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Bash scripting
• Ability to draw basic diagrams
• Higher education
• Relevant certifications

• Create and maintain workflows and data pipelines
• Maintain and debug data infrastructure components
• Migrate and update AWS services
• Perform regression testing and automate repetitive tasks
• Review code developed by colleagues
• Work independently and collaboratively with other data engineers

Cooperation is offered only to candidates located in Poland with willingness to commute to the offices in Katowice or Gdańsk. EU citizenship is required.
