Senior IBM iSeries Developer – Wealth Management Systems

The role supports a leading player in the wealth management industry, focusing on innovative and reliable investment services, particularly back-end systems that manage trade settlement, regulatory reporting, and client data.

• 5+ years of experience in application support or enterprise software development.
• Strong hands-on expertise with IBM iSeries and ILE RPG.
• Knowledge of SQLRPG, free format RPG, and APIs is a plus.
• Experience in financial or wealth management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Solid system and business analysis skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

• Provide responsive production support during UK business hours, ensuring service availability in line with SLAs.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents using system functionality expertise and integration knowledge.
• Engage with business users and stakeholders for end-to-end issue resolution.
• Manage support tickets, prioritize tasks, and implement both short-term and long-term solutions.
• Conduct BAU operational activities including system upgrades, data archiving, and security reviews.
• Contribute to project delivery including requirements analysis, design, testing, and deployment aligned with HSBC standards.
• Produce technical documentation and promote quality engineering within Agile/DevOps practices.
• Support system modernization initiatives with IBM iSeries, RPG, and other modern technologies.
