Backend Java Developer

AVENGA (Agencja Pracy, nr KRAZ: 8448) is recruiting for a Backend Java Developer to work on high-performance and critical banking systems primarily in Warsaw with hybrid work mode.

• 4-6+ years of experience with Java, excellent knowledge of Java 21+.
• 4+ years experience with Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Data.
• Minimum 3 years experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Minimum 4 years experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with high-load systems and processing large data volumes and files.
• Knowledge of REST API, microservices, hexagonal architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including scaling and High Availability.
• Familiarity with Spring WebFlux, Spring Security, and Resilience4j.
• Experience with Tomcat, Netty, Hazelcast, and Ehcache.
• Security knowledge including PKI, JWT, TLS/mTLS, and digital signatures.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Gerrit, and Maven.
• Monitoring skills with Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and Loki.
• Knowledge of UML and Enterprise Architect.
• Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and MCP.

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP, Spring Cloud, and Zuul.

• Develop and maintain backend applications in Java.
• Design and implement efficient and scalable REST API.
• Build systems for processing large volumes of data, queries, and text files.
• Process data using queue and streaming systems like Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch databases.
• Design solutions based on microservices and hexagonal architecture.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and system resilience.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure scaling, monitoring, and auto-deployment mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, frontend developers, testers, and Product Owner.
• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Utilize AI tools supporting analysis and development such as GitHub Copilot and MCP.
