Senior Data Engineer [M/F]

Stackmine is seeking a senior data engineer for a remote position. The project focuses on building and optimizing data pipelines that support analytics, recommender systems, and Machine Learning solutions.

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Very good knowledge of Python, SQL, and Spark
• Experience building and maintaining large ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
• Practical experience with cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Experience working with large data volumes
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Good understanding of Software Engineering practices
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Ability to take responsibility for production systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced English language skills (minimum B2)

• Development, maintenance, and optimization of scalable data platforms
• Building and managing complex ETL/ELT pipelines
• Ensuring reliability of pipelines processing billions of events daily
• Monitoring, observability, and maintaining high data quality
• Troubleshooting production issues and ensuring infrastructure stability
• Collaborating with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineering teams
• Developing tools and frameworks supporting the Data Platform
• Working on ML, streaming, and recommender system solutions
• Maintaining and developing infrastructure in Kubernetes/GKE environments
• Developing Software Engineering and Data Engineering standards
