Staff Software Engineer - mobile (m/f/n)

InPost is a leading European out-of-home (OOH) e-commerce enablement platform revolutionary in parcel delivery with a network of over 64,000 Automated Parcel Machines (APMs) and over 30,000 pick-up and drop-off points across nine European countries. In 2025, it delivered 1.4 billion parcels, offering a delivery option that is cheaper, more flexible, convenient, environmentally friendly, and contactless.

Must-have:

• 8+ years software engineering experience at Staff/Principal/Tech Lead/Architect level with impact beyond a single team.
• Proven testing experience on at least one mobile platform (iOS or Android) with commercial, working-level experience.
• Deep ownership of quality and reliability as an engineering discipline involving strategy design.
• Proven shift-left experience embedding quality early in the process.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills and ability to write and review production-quality code.
• Experience leading technical and process changes directly with development teams.
• Hands-on experience and critical relationship with AI usage and risk assessment.
• Fluent English.

Strong plus:

• Experience with BrowserStack and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Experience with snapshot testing (e.g. swift-snapshot-testing, Paparazzi) and mock-based testing standards.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce industry.
• Fluency in Polish.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Appium.
• Experience applying AI in engineering/testing workflows.
• ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineer certification.

Quality architecture & engineering:

• Set and own the quality and reliability strategy across the domain from API/contract layer through native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) clients.
• Design for testability and release confidence, including quality gates, device and OS-version fragmentation coverage, and flakiness control using BrowserStack and GitLab CI.
• Maintain a strong backend/API/contract layer connecting cleanly with the mobile client layer.
• Drive resolution of cross-team quality and reliability issues within the domain.
• Engage hands-on in the codebase for prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and incident resolution.

Technical leadership, coaching & culture:

• Embed quality ownership early into the engineering workflow before implementation starts.
• Mentor senior engineers and accelerate growth.
• Lead knowledge sharing via tech talks, workshops, documentation, and co-lead the OneTech community.
• Co-shape technical direction with the SEM with autonomy.
• Define and use quality and reliability metrics and gates to manage risk in business terms for EMs, SEMs, and PMs.

AI governance in engineering:

• Define AI adoption for quality and engineering productivity, including tools and workflows.
• Design AI-assisted workflows with governance and data-security standards.
• Assess and manage risks related to AI usage.
• Mentor engineers on responsible and effective AI use and report on ROI.
