Solution Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Solution Engineer for a project building a cloud-native data platform supporting scalable data processing, analytics, AI, and business intelligence solutions. The customer is a global investment management firm focused on innovation, responsible investing, and operational excellence. The project involves building a modern cloud-native data platform on AWS and Snowflake that supports structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources, enabling enterprise-wide analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives.

• 7+ years of experience in software, solution, or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services and architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data modeling, optimization, and governance.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java.
• Experience building production-grade systems in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Git workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and data products.
• Ability to work end-to-end: architecture, development, deployment, and operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or above.

Nice to have:

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, ML Engineer).
• Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or advanced).
• Experience with AWS AI services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock).
• Experience with RAG, agent-based AI systems, and responsible AI practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development methodologies (e.g., prompt engineering, evaluation loops).
• Background in the financial industry.
• Experience with data governance, risk, and regulatory environments.

• Designing, building, and operating production-grade software and data solutions end-to-end, from architecture to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Designing and implementing reliable, scalable, secure, and well-governed data pipelines and products using AWS and Snowflake.
• Modeling, curating, and optimizing Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures according to enterprise standards.
• Applying strong software engineering practices, including clean code, modular design, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure development, and maintainable architecture.
• Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions and identify opportunities for advanced analytics and AI.
• Using AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality standards.
• Building cloud-native integrations and automation on AWS, utilizing services such as compute, storage, networking, security, and managed AI services.
• Owning deployment, release, and production operations, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, incident resolution, code reviews, and pair programming.
