System Administrator (Linux) in the EU

The customer is an organization operating in the environmental domain, focused on data analysis, research, regulatory support, and the development of guidelines related to natural resources, environmental quality, and risk mitigation. The project involves the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of a Linux-based application platform supporting multiple business-critical services, including infrastructure administration, system monitoring, application development, and continuous improvement of web applications and integrations for secure, reliable, and scalable operations.

• Experience as a System Administrator (Linux) in tech or digital products for 2+ years.
• Hands-on experience operating Linux-based systems.
• Experience monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of Docker and DevOps principles.
• Experience with application clusters.
• Basic knowledge of IT security and system hardening.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate (B2) and above.
• Level of German – from Intermediate+ (B1) and above.

• Ensuring stable, secure, and continuous operation of the meGov infrastructure and applications.
• Operating and maintaining servers and applications.
• Administering Linux environments (SUSE 12/15).
• Monitoring systems and performing system analysis.
• Operating and maintaining Docker environments.
• Administering databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Managing incidents and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Coordinating with IT-DLZ.
• Ensuring system security and availability.
