Commercial Counsel, CEE (English, Polish)

Google is seeking a charismatic, tech savvy commercial lawyer to serve as a primary legal partner for Google's commercial operations across Central and Eastern Europe, covering 19 jurisdictions. The role involves working closely with senior internal stakeholders and outside counsel in complex regulatory environments, supporting the regional rollout of innovative AI products.

• JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Admitted to the bar and authorized to practice law in the state where the position is located.
• Minimum 3 years of attorney-level experience from an international law firm or as an in-house lawyer in a global corporation, focusing on IT, internet, online media, and telecoms.
• Fluency in English and Polish to support client relationship management in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

• Expertise in legal reviews and due diligence for product launches focused on artificial intelligence models and features.
• Ability to direct external law firms, coordinate localized legal work, and manage budgets and resources.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and execute complex, high-value commercial agreements.
• Experience collaborating directly with executive business leads, engineering, product development, and marketing teams.
• Strong leadership capacity to manage a broad, fast-moving regional footprint as a self-directed legal owner.

• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to perform legal due diligence and review regulatory requirements for Google products and services across the CEE region.
• Lead negotiations for complex, strategic commercial deals with major private and public sector organizations.
• Evaluate local and regional regulatory requirements to advise internal teams on legal risks and compliance.
• Oversee legal matters related to regional expansion, including business development and marketing projects.
• Manage external legal counsel engagement, including quality checks, resources, and budgets to resolve complex local legal questions.
