Platform Backend Engineer

Sempire is a highly specialized company in digital marketing services, supporting clients within the cyber_Folks Group — owner of PrestaShop, Shopera, _Now, and dedicated solutions for WordPress and WooCommerce. The Group serves approximately 700,000 clients across Europe and worldwide.

• Minimum 5 years of experience building backend systems.
• Excellent knowledge of modern backend languages: Python, Go, and/or Java.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency designing REST APIs.
• Practical knowledge of microservices patterns and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Ability to design high-load distributed systems.
• Deep experience in Identity & Access Management.
• Experience designing and implementing Single Sign-On.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Familiarity with SAML 2.0.
• Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, Azure Entra ID, or similar.
• Experience designing RBAC and ABAC models.
• Experience securing APIs and service-to-service communication.
• Knowledge of multi-tenancy and SaaS security architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in on-premises environments.
• Ability to design highly available and scalable solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Redpanda or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with data pipelines and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Data Lakehouse, Apache Iceberg, Medallion Architecture.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Airflow.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with AI platforms, MLOps, or LLM-based systems.

Backend Engineering:

• Build backend systems with at least 5 years of experience.
• Use modern backend languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Develop with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Design REST APIs.
• Apply microservice and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Design distributed systems for high loads.

Authentication, Authorization & Security:

• Design and implement Identity & Access Management solutions.
• Implement Single Sign-On.
• Use and understand OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML 2.0.
• Work with Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, and Azure Entra ID.
• Develop RBAC and ABAC models.
• Secure APIs and service-to-service communication.
• Handle multi-tenancy and SaaS security architecture.

Platform Engineering:

• Use Kubernetes.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Work in on-premises environments.
• Design highly available and scalable solutions.

Nice to have:
