Software Engineer, Flexibility Advisory

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging advanced AI/ML technology to help businesses digitally transform across 200+ countries. The role involves shaping the frontier of enterprise AI by bridging pioneering models with large-scale product deployment.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience coding in a general-purpose language or system design.
• Experience programming in C++ and Python.
• Preferred knowledge of Google automation and testing infrastructure such as guitar, sandman, centigrate, and hexa.
• Preferred knowledge of one or more of APIs, control planes, or frameworks.

• Create and run virtual machines on Google infrastructure using Compute Engine.
• Plan and scope projects for your team, prioritizing support for direct reports.
• Write code primarily in C++ and Go, monitor live services, automate deployment processes, and support the full software development lifecycle.
• Support quick onboarding of new software engineers.
• Improve availability of scarce resources for Google Cloud.
• Use Google's AI/ML technologies to enhance team velocity and product quality.
• Proactively identify and suggest areas for future work for self and team.
