Senior Software Engineer, App Hub

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and App Hub aim to deliver an AI-driven, application-focused perspective of GCP infrastructure to boost productivity of platform operators and developers through efficient workflows. The team manages the complete App Hub interface, ensuring seamless experience in observability, manageability, and governance of applications including performance monitoring and policy management. The role offers opportunities to influence a pioneering GCP product and grow professionally within Google's Cloud strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in C++ or Go.
• Experience architecting and designing distributed software systems.
• Experience in relational database design for the cloud.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 1 year of experience working with cross-functional partners in matrix organizational structures.
• Experience in API design and management of public-facing APIs.
• Experience in full stack engineering to build front and back end features, server-side optimizations, and infrastructures.

• Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and high-availability systems for customers.
• Direct project life cycles maintaining architectural integrity and engineering standards.
• Transform business requirements into technical solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Drive engineering and development speed by guiding technical initiatives.
• Promote a team environment by mentoring engineers and contributing to organizational success.
