Senior Software Engineer (Senior UNIX Automation Engineer)

The Polish branch in Katowice operates as a Global Delivery Center since 2007 with around 1,000 specialists. Teams specialize in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, security, software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP platform integrations, and application management for clients in Scandinavia and Western Europe.

• Strong Linux/Unix system administration experience, including storage management (LVM, filesystems, NFS) and enterprise-scale infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on expertise with Ansible, AAP (Ansible Tower/AWX), Red Hat Satellite, EfficientIP, Python, Bash, GitLab, and CFEngine.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices.
• Proven background in automation engineering, system or infrastructure administration within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English (B2/C1).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• EU citizenship and located in Poland.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Terraform, Kickstart, Podman, HAProxy, VTOM, n8n, ServiceNow integrations.
• Exposure to Perl/PHP automation scripts and AI/LLM-powered tools supporting automation, development, or documentation processes.
• Security clearance.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain automation solutions for managing large-scale Unix/Linux environments, including configuration management, patching, and system lifecycle operations.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible Tower/AWX, GitLab, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Provide 3rd-level support for automation platforms and Unix systems, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing long-term improvements.
• Develop and optimize automated workflows to streamline deployment, configuration, orchestration, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, automation standards, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.

Only candidates located in Poland with EU citizenship can be considered for cooperation. Occasional business trips abroad and visits to the Katowice office are expected.
