Software Engineering Manager, Google Compute Engine

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google’s technology, serving customers in over 200 countries and territories to enable business growth and digital transformation.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in Kernel development and architecting and developing distributed systems design.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing internal infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed computing infrastructure.
• Experience working on customer-facing products/APIs.
• Proven skills in managing teams working on highly distributed and reliable systems.

• Manage a team focused on a defined product area within Google Compute Engine.
• Build, grow, and retain top engineering talent.
• Work with team members on their career development and performance.
• Set direction and priorities for the product area in cooperation with the team.
• Build cross-functional partnerships and work with developers and product managers to improve productivity, quality, and coverage through scale and tooling.
