Ruby on Rails Developer– Senior

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails, with deep understanding of Ruby internals and Rails conventions.
• Strong skills in SQL and PostgreSQL including indexing, query planning, and zero-downtime migrations on large tables.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: message queues, idempotency, eventual consistency, background jobs (e.g., Sidekiq), and caching (e.g., Redis).
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools in daily work and sound judgment on their use.
• Ability to detect plausible-looking hallucinated APIs during code review.
• Ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-generated code with thorough test writing and reading.
• Experience designing and consuming REST and/or gRPC APIs; familiarity with OpenAPI.
• Confident with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker; comfortable reading Kubernetes manifests and logs.
• Experience with observability tooling like Prometheus/Grafana, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher for reading and writing technical documentation, RFCs, and code reviews.

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into production Ruby applications including prompt design, structured outputs, evaluation, and cost/latency control.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant), or agent frameworks.
• Understanding of AI security and data privacy issues, such as PII handling, prompt injection, and model output validation.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or iGaming domains with knowledge of regulatory and responsible-gaming requirements.
• Contributions to open-source Ruby projects, technical talks, or writing.
• Working knowledge of Go, Elixir, or TypeScript for cross-service work.

• Design, build, and evolve Ruby on Rails services powering the iGaming platform, including high-throughput APIs, payment and wallet flows, real-time game integrations, and back-office tooling.
• Work in an AI-augmented workflow using coding assistants and agents like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot for scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, and code review.
• Integrate LLM-based features into the product where they add real value, such as fraud and risk signals, player-support automation, content generation, and internal analytics copilots.
• Own performance and reliability by profiling hot paths, tuning PostgreSQL queries, designing caching and background-processing strategies, and driving incidents to root cause.
• Review code (human- and AI-written alike), mentor mid-level engineers, and help set team standards for responsible and effective AI usage.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and cross-team initiatives.
