Senior Python DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

This role is for a leading investment bank in the financial technology sector, focusing on mission-critical infrastructure and cloud-based services.

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, automation, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: RDS, S3, and EC2.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience configuring HA Proxy, Kong, and Apache for load balancing and API management.
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration and networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed system issues.
• Attention to detail and proactive system improvement approach.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience administering Sonatype Nexus or JFrog Artifactory.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure using Python.
• Manage cloud services including AWS RDS, S3, and EC2.
• Implement and uphold infrastructure as code practices using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
• Configure and optimize load balancers such as HA Proxy, Kong, and Apache.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability in production.
• Troubleshoot networking and Linux-related issues.
• Enhance deployment pipelines and operational workflows through automation.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve CI/CD processes.
• Ensure high availability and resilience of core financial systems.
