Senior DevOps Engineer

We support tech companies in building engineering teams in Poland. For this role, we act as a recruitment partner handling the hiring process on behalf of our customer.

Vetric builds large-scale public data infrastructure, providing data pipelines that collect, structure, and deliver high-volume public web data for companies in cybersecurity, public safety, and digital risk protection. They operate globally, serving industry leaders in over 20 countries.

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Infrastructure, or Cloud Engineering experience with production ownership in high-throughput, data-intensive environments.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS architectures, including compute, networking (VPC, DNS, segmentation), IAM, and scalability patterns.
• Strong expertise designing, running, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (EKS) at production scale under heavy load.
• Expert-level experience with Terraform and scripting/software engineering skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, plus confident Bash.
• Deep familiarity with container workloads (ECS, Docker) and modern CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions) using safe rollout strategies.
• Experience designing and operating observability and alerting stacks (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs).
• Pragmatic and clear communicator thriving in autonomous, high-velocity team environments.

Nice to have:

• Direct experience leading ECS-to-Kubernetes migration in production.
• Knowledge of EKS ecosystem tooling (Karpenter, ArgoCD, Flux, KEDA, VPC CNI).
• Experience with analytical or wide-column databases at scale (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB).

• Drive Cloud & Migration Strategy: Architect and execute migration from ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS) without downtime while maintaining the existing cloud estate.
• Advance Infrastructure as Code: Design and implement modular IaC frameworks using Terraform and OpenTofu for consistent multi-environment deployments.
• Architect Enterprise CI/CD: Evolve delivery pipelines with GitHub Actions and OIDC federation to reduce developer friction and increase deployment safety.
• Scale Data-Intensive Infrastructure: Oversee performance and resilience of high-volume data layers including ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, RDS, Redis, and event-driven messaging pipelines.
• Enforce Reliability & Observability: Implement organization-wide reliability standards using modern telemetry stacks like OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Balance Growth & Governance: Make technical tradeoff decisions balancing velocity, security (zero-trust, Tailscale), and FinOps cost efficiency.
