Senior Backend Developer

Shiji Poland is developing the Daylight PMS, a distributed system serving the hospitality industry by managing reservations, payments, and hotel services across multiple hotels. The system consists of many domain-oriented microservices maintained by cross-functional teams.

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role
• Advanced Object-Oriented and/or Functional Programming paradigms
• Good knowledge of C#, .NET, Web API (REST), Entity Framework, or other ORMs like Dapper/NHibernate
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or Elastic Search
• Strong knowledge of Unit and Integration tests
• Ability to write clean code with tests
• Open-minded and proactive attitude

Nice to have:

• Experience with Integration systems and patterns (XML/SOAP, JSON, CSV, FTP or HTTP message transformation/delivery, competing consumers pattern, pipes and filter, offloading queue)
• Experience with distributed systems, transactions, multi-tenant and multi-region systems
• Basics of Linux and Docker

• Collaborate with Product Owners in grooming business requirements before development
• Design, implement, and maintain new functionalities within the system
• Perform daily code reviews
• Guide other developers in correct implementation of business requirements

Our Daily Work:

• Follow Scrum methodologies with Sprints, Grooming, Planning, Code Freeze, and Retrospectives
• Use Gitlab and Jenkins for CI/CD and code synchronization
• Employ Docker and docker compose for local development and deployment
• Share work via Nuget packages on an internal Nuget Server
• Develop using Visual Studio, Rider, or VSC
• Communicate and participate in meetings via Teams
