Software Engineer III, Full Stack

Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud's mission to bring AI to various industries including tech, healthcare, finance, and retail. The team focuses on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact and collaborates with product teams to bring innovations to customers. The role supports AI and Machine Learning developers by building tools and platforms that simplify and accelerate their work, aiming to advance the future of AI development on Google Cloud.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end in Java, Python, Golang and front-end with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalents.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with cloud technologies and distributed computing/systems.
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: 2 years experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: Experience with Generative AI.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud computing, distributed systems, microservices, and security.
• Preferred: Experience with open source build systems, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Preferred: Experience with Google Production or Google Cloud environments.

• Design and implement developer tools and platforms for Agent Platform and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers.
• Develop the technical goal and roadmap for the broader team.
• Collaborate closely with customers to improve user experience.
• Communicate effectively across teams to align with product and client teams.
• Maintain a strong bias for action balancing product thinking, development, and continuous delivery.
