Senior Golang Software Engineer (Data & Infrastructure)

Invia x Travelplanet.pl x Wakacje.pl is one of the largest travel groups in Europe helping more than 6 million people plan trips yearly. The team includes IT, Product, Data, and other departments developing tools and services for travelers. The role is within the team behind Supply Nexus, a group-level booking engine and supply platform.

• 6+ years as a software engineer including 3 to 4+ years with Go
• Proven experience processing large volumes of data at scale
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases handling large data volumes
• Experience processing very large files and structuring data into terabyte-scale databases
• Experience designing indexes for fast data access
• Strong, practical SQL
• Experience with distributed systems and various architecture types
• Solid knowledge of data structures
• Experience with REST API and gRPC
• English proficiency B2+
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CI/CD fundamentals and full software delivery lifecycle
• Comfortable working with legacy codebases

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes
• Redis (or similar)
• Kibana, Grafana

• Split time approximately 50/50 between coding/code review and research on data structures and processing approaches
• Maintain and enhance Supply Nexus, including the booking engine
• Integrate data and systems from across the business into one unified platform
• Lead the redesign of a legacy service onto a modern platform from architecture through delivery
• Import and maintain tour operator data feeds focusing on availability
• Process very large files (hundreds of GB) and organize data into terabyte-scale databases
• Design indexes for the fastest possible data access
• Handle basic DevOps tasks: CI/CD, deployment, cloud resource optimization
• Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
• Build and improve API integrations across all entities
