Mid-Level Vulnerability Remediation Specialist – Cybersecurity Operations

This role is for a global leader in cybersecurity technology, based in Krakow, offering a hybrid work model with up to 4 remote days per week.

• At least 3 years of experience in vulnerability remediation, security engineering, or infrastructure support.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub, including troubleshooting.
• Proven scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and/or Groovy.
• Ability to work across teams to deliver tooling improvements end-to-end.
• Fluent English language skills (B2 level).
• Practical problem-solving abilities and excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in infrastructure or security engineering.
• Passion for exploring AI tools and integrating large language models (LLM) via APIs or SDKs.

• Triage and validate vulnerability findings from scanning tools and advisories such as CVEs.
• Own remediation delivery from detection to resolution, including planning, change execution, and verification.
• Drive remediation activities across operating systems, middleware, applications, containers, and cloud services.
• Prioritize remediation efforts based on risk context and communicate plans, status, and blockers to stakeholders.
• Coordinate change execution with technology teams, managing scheduling, dependencies, and minimizing service disruption.
• Troubleshoot remediation issues such as failed patches and dependency conflicts, conducting root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain remediation runbooks, standard operating procedures, and repeatable patterns for efficiency.
• Track remediation metrics and support continuous process improvements focusing on speed, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams to optimize scan quality, reduce false positives, and streamline vulnerability lifecycle processes.
