Business Owner

Wakacje.pl is the largest e-commerce platform in Poland and a network of travel agencies offering a wide range of travel products. It has been fulfilling the travel dreams of Poles for 25 years and is part of Wirtualna Polska Holding since 2015. The platform offers thousands of domestic and international trips, travel insurance, airport parking, and holiday vouchers.

• At least five years of experience in product development, business area development, or e-commerce sales process development.
• Knowledge of the travel industry and experience with sales and operational processes in this sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently with data, prepare reports, analyses, and translate conclusions into business recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data daily.
• Experience collaborating with IT, Product, and Analytics teams and working at the intersection of business, product, and technology.
• Ability to identify and set priorities, make decisions, and justify recommendations clearly.
• Capability to prepare business documentation for development initiatives.
• Independence and excellent organizational skills, including planning work and following through on responsibilities.
• English proficiency at a minimum B1/B2 level for confident communication in an international environment and participation in meetings.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of the Merlin X system.
• Experience in conversion rate optimization and conducting A/B tests.
• Knowledge of the travel industry in the Czech, Slovak, or Hungarian markets.

• Develop and optimize the online booking and sales journey across the Group’s markets in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary.
• Drive conversion growth by analyzing key metrics, identifying barriers in the purchasing process, and recommending sales-supporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and initiate changes enhancing the booking process and online customer experience.
• Set development priorities based on data, business needs, and customer perspective.
• Work closely with Product Owners to improve booking journey functionalities.
• Collaborate with development teams throughout delivery, including requirements translation, implementation, testing, and evaluation within the SAFe framework.
• Prepare business documentation for development initiatives, track implementation, and assess their business impact.
• Analyze user behavior and market trends with the UX team to design usability and conversion improvements.
• Measure effectiveness of implemented solutions and derive insights to inform future initiatives.
