Software Engineer II, Borglet

Google is a technology company delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions and tools to developers, serving customers in more than 200 countries and territories. The role involves working on Borglet, an on-machine agent in Google's Cluster Management System, critical to company-wide workloads.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1 year of experience with software development.
• 1 year of experience with unmanaged languages (Rust, C, C++).
• 1 year of experience with Python or Go.
• 1 year of experience with concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.

• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug by analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.
• Write and review development code to ensure best practices including style, testability, and efficiency.
• Provide secure software solutions connecting guest (virtualized) and host (hypervisor) environments.
• Develop, test, integrate, and release solutions, including infrastructure to detect regressions in key performance metrics at scale.
