Mid-Level Cybersecurity Project Manager – IT & Assurance

This position is with a client in the banking and financial services sector, focusing on cybersecurity project delivery.

• Minimum of 4 years experience in project management, especially in technology delivery within complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles including agile practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience in business requirements gathering, testing, and process documentation.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills including with vendors, IT teams, and support functions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience in the financial or cybersecurity sectors.

• Lead and deliver medium-sized cybersecurity projects for the Threat and Controls Assessment (TCA) team.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and define project requirements.
• Create and execute detailed user test plans.
• Manage project architecture delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
• Oversee HSBC governance processes supporting system deployment and workflows.
• Update operational procedures for new features and tooling.
• Build stakeholder buy-in and communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Identify, monitor, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with program managers to align project activities with program goals.
• Maintain accurate project status reports and provide ad-hoc updates.
• Ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Facilitate business transition planning including handovers and final delivery validation.
